Starting with the construction of the first palm oil processing plant in 2002 in Riau Province and then, along with rapid business development, in the period up to 2019 several other factories were built in Riau Province, North Sumatra, South Sumatra and expansion in the field of stockpile tank rental services in Dumai.

In order to control and centralize the business, in 2011 PT Mahkota Group was established as the parent of all existing subsidiaries. Established on January 07, 2011 in accordance with the Deed of Establishment No. 7, which has obtained approval from the minister of law and human rights of the Republic of Indonesia as in his decision letter, dated February 18, 2011, No.AHU-08250.AH.01.01. of 2011. On July 12, 2018, the Company was officially listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange as a public company. Located at Grand Jati Junction Lt.27, Perintis Kemerdekaan Road No.3-A, Medan. PT Mahkota Group Tbk currently has approximately 1165 employees.

In the range of 2020 to 2023, the Company has also developed a downstream program with the operation of a refinery plant and a Kernel Crushing Plant located in one of the subsidiaries in Riau Province, conducting initial export sales and developing oil palm plantations in South Sumatra.
